First time post. I have a Compton's Interactive
Encyclopedia software purchased second hand. It is a
1999 version, said to run on Windows 98.
I have loaded two other Encyclopedia Programs
directly to my hard-disk and find it a real treat not to
have to insert a disk each time to use them.
Is there a way (I've exhausted myself today trying
to figure out how I'd done it before...) to load this
program directly to my 80 gig. hard-disk using XP Home
Addition on this two year old computer?
Me and the kids would be much obliged!

Hi,

Some program require the CD to be inserted to run, this is an antipiracy
measure. You might try a virtual CD program as a workaround.
