software to create DVDs capable of playing on DVD Players

I'm interested in creating DVDs from JPEGs, Powerpoint presentations, etc. I have a DVD+RW drive. What kind of software will create a DVD from the foregoing that will play on a normal DVD player?
 
Nero ROM is a good software for creating DVDs

Thank your for posting!

As far as I know, currently Microsoft does not have any software to help
you to burn DVD-video for a DVD players.

What I know, some DVD+/-RW drive manufacture (for example, HP) may provide
you a software CD, which may contains DVD-video creation software. With
such software, you can create DVD-video disc and can be played by DVD
players.

Also, Nero, as Joe mentioned, is a good choice for DVD-video creation. You
may try the free trial version of Nero 6 Ultra Edition from
http://www.nero.com/us/631939543802095.php.
