Hi, does anyone know what XPe components are required to enable Software Restriction Policies within the Group Policy window?

I have added the Group Policy core components and anything else that looks relevant. I start the Group Policy window using the run command box and entering "gpedit.msc". The Group Policy window appears ok.

But under Computer Configuration->Windows Settings->Security Settings there is no option for "Software Restriction Policies" as you get in full Windows XP.

How do I do that?

Thanks

Hi,

Not done that, however just a thought ,could u possibly track the
resources that are utilised while enabling the Software restriction
policies using the regmon or filemon and find the dependencies that
are not satisfied in the build.Try including the dependencies that are
had been lost.

Ok that worke

I did what you suggested and used filemon to see what was going on, and saw a lot of interaction with mmc certificates

Had a look at my included components and found that "Certificate MMC Snap-In" wasn't included

Hey presto it's now workin

Thanks for the advice
