Is there ONE software program that examines and cleans up the:

....the Start-Up files...
....the Processes that are running...
....examines the memory configuration and makes adjustments or
suggestions...
....cleans up the registry...
....any other module affecting startup that I may have left out, and....
....puts the cat out when it's done??

The Symantec Product - Norton Utilities, especially the 2003 and better yet 2004 vewrsions have a 'One Button Checkup' faclity that uses many 'tools' to cover most of what you require.

It doesn't clean up Start-up files and make memory config changes, but you can certainly use one or a combination of the tools manually to achieve the rest of your desired list of items.

No tea or coffee making tools yet, but with SP2 hitting at Norton's yet again, by including better security, maybe this will be in their 2005 version.

Norton's Win doctor, not sure if it will put the cat out
though.

If there is one sure way to integrate unnecessary processes into a computer
configuration, Norton anything is the way to go.. my opinion, and I am not
the only person with this view..

"You should have taken the blue pill, Neo."

There is no such "ONE software program." The reality out there is that you
need more utilities to perform the same task - a few different "Registry
Cleaner" type utilities, for ex., to clean up the registry.

There are some popular suites of "System Utilities" from Symantec, McAfee,
Vcom, JV etc. Albeit those were useful with W95/W98 OS's of the last
century, they are of little use now.
Even using all those together, you don't get too far in XP. Besides, XP
itself has its own tools for performing all what you want to do - System
Cleanup, System Defrag, Administrative Tools etc.

Your best shot is to do it manually - start learning on kelly's corner web
site or google your questions.

I developed a program for that !

It just has one button "fix my computer" ..as soon as you press the button
...it reformats your drive ...forcing you to start with a clean (fixed!)
computer :>
