I am a court reporter with a deadline for today...can someone please help me?
I was typing a transcript of a trial via verbatim listening to recorded
proceedings off a tape... I was on page 46 of my transcript and i decided to
fastforward my tape and continue typing near the end of the tape so i put a
regular underline after my last sentence just to give me a reference point in
my document so i knew where to go back to.. then i continued typing
underneath the line... well, when i went back to continue to type where i had
left of, i tried to delete the underline and it won't delete. In fact, now
every time I go to use my forward indent button or use my macro key for "THE
COURT" (alt C) I get two lines that automatically insert into my document.
And when i hit the "undo" arrow, it does go away, but the original underline
that i had put in the document to start with is still there. I can't get rid
of this line, nor can i use my macro key (alt C or the forward indent
button). I tried making a new macro but i still get those lines and my indent
key still puts the lines in. Does anyone know what i've done wrong when I
stuck that underline in? Anyone know how i can get rid of it? Help?

Been awhile since doing anything serious in Word, however... remember having
approximately the same problem, and finally put the cursor after the last
word to save, then delete everything until the first letter of the next
wanted word touched the cursor, and then touched the enter key for a new
paragraph. Make sure you have a backup before trying anything serious. I
have W2000 loaded on both sides of this box, one instance in W2000Pro, and
again over in VISTA Home Premium 64-bit, and it works well no matter which OS
i choose on boot... Good luck. :-)
