I'm running XP HE SP2.

I have an old version of Nero Ultra on my C drive, which I'd like to keep,
as there are features in it which are not available in newer versions; it
doesn't really get on well with SP2, either.

I'd like to buy the latest version of Nero, and was wondering if I could
install it to my secondary drive, and if so, would it work independantly
from the previous version?

Thank you for any assistance.

You can install a program to your secondary drive as long as that drive
is internal. However, no matter where you install a program some files
will be put on the system drive (usually C:\). The tech people at Nero
strongly suggest completely uninstalling any previous versions of Nero
before installing 7.x. They even have a process and some cleanup tools
on their site. So I would say that no, what you want to do isn't
possible.

Since you didn't say what the features are that you like, I can't help
you with that. All I can do is suggest that you find another modern
burning program instead of Nero that will do what you want. I have the
latest Nero and it does everything I want, so I'm not sure what it
would be missing for you.

There is plenty of evidence to suggest that "Mack said:

Thing to do would be to look on their website for a downloadable trial
version, so you could test it out before you part with your money.
