Software on the Network!

I have a brand new Dell LAptop running XP SP2. I connected it to a 2003
Domain and installed all software onto it. Everything seemed ok after
installing the software, except for one package. A software package called
Mamie, it's a contact mamagement type package like Act. It needs Sybase
anyware to run on each pc and it works fine on all other pc's on the network.
I log onto this pc with the user name and password but the mamie package
runs slow and always times out. When I log onto the same pc with another
user account it works fine. This sounds like a profle corruption problem to
me, howerever you never know. Any Idea's would be helpful.

thanks,
JB

That depends wher eth eprofile is being loaded from. If it's a roaming
profile then it's the same profile you use on other computers. If not, then
it was created from the Default profile when you first logged-on to the
laptop.

It's possible that the default profiles on the other computers have been
modified on some way to accommodate this software. HST with properly-written
software that shouldn't be necessary, but you never know.

It's also posisble that the hosts, lmhosts or services files shave been
modified to allow specific IP connections relating to the product.
