Software manager problems

I have several already uninstalled programs in my
"Software" list, which I find in my "Configurationscreen"
(Literal translation from dutch "Configuratiescherm"..),
and which are impossible to remove.

Might there be some way to delete certain keys with regedit
or perhaps do another thing which will enable me to delete
those annoying ALREADY UNINSTALLED files from the list?
It seems I can't play DOOM 3 or MYST IV (Which came out
today) because there's still a CD/DVD emulation program in
said list which prevents them from running. (They're afraid
I might copy the damned products. :p Where has the trust
gone these days? ^_^;; )

If anyone has any idea how to fix this, please e-mail me on
the address provided?

Thanks for taking the time to read this anyway,
Maki

Do you mean, add remove programs in win 2k or XP

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSI
ON\UNINSTALL\

Check the above location

NOTE: Using regedit can cause serious problems if not
properly used
