I'm having a major problem trying to install programs.
I have tried several ways and it's just not working!
Please help or send ideas if possible.
I have tried to install a new program and it works for
part of it but then before it's finished I get an error
message that says the program is not responding. so I
thought it was the software I tried another program same
thing. I know these programs work since I had them
installed on another computer.
Thinking it was my hardware I checked it and all's ok, as
far as I now all the drivers are up to date. I even
copied the program to a file thinking my drive wasn't
reading it and that didn't work either. I must be doing
something wrong I'm just not sure what, I have installed
many programs and never had a problem until now.
Please help if you can I'm taking suggestions from anyone!

Have you tried to install it while in safe mode?

Hi peanut
I had to get some help from Microsoft support yesterday with a similar
problem. I couldn't get MS Office to load properly because of files not being
found even though they were on the disk and I could open them. This has been
the case with loads of previousley installed software.
If you have more than about 500Mb of RAM files start getting lost! I now
have to start the machine in selective start and limit it to 256Mb then there
are no issues at all. This is also a problem with making and restoring back
ups as they also get corrupted or are reported as invalid but as soon as the
memory is capped all is well. Don't understand it myself but there you go.
All the best
Dean
