I have LCD 1710S. - 17''
Also Win XP pro SP1 and SiS 661FX Rev 01 64 Mb Driver 27.2.2004

Windows hass all SP installed and also newest drivers for all
components - i have reinstalled them but didn't solve the problem.
Problem is:
When I set resolution higher than 1024*768 I get that resolution, but
on monitor this resolution is displayed as 1024*768 and all parts of
display thet are beyond that resolution are cuted from display. I can
see that part of screen when i postion my mouse at the bottom of the
screen.

I have contacted LG and SiS but none has the answer...

I have found this problem on some newgrups but no answer.. :(

Hi Zeljko,

The behavior you are describing is correct for a LCD.

LCDs have a set number of pixels (sometimes referred to its native resolution). If you make the resolution lower than the native
resolution, it will either leave a border, or will stretch the display (not as sharp). If you increase the resolution over the
native resolution, it creates a virtual desktop that scrolls when you move your cursor to the border between the physical screen
and the virtual screen.

Thanks for the help but problem is not in the monitor.
Coleague of mine also has SAME monitor and he gets 1280x1024 with no problem.
Also LG support said that native resolution for this monitor IS 1280x1024...

I tried this monitor on his computer and all worked fine...
