I have a HP Pavilion 753n Running Windows XP
Have designing Software installed (CorelDraw, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe
Illustrator, and Microsoft Word 2000)
Around the time I installed Illustrator, my Freedom Anti-Virus software
failed Loading at restart.
I contacted Freedom and they gave me a few different ways to uninstall and
reinstall the anti-virus software (which STILL either fails to install, or
fails to load at restart.), and how to check for viruses online.(virus check
came up clean.)
Designing software was "missing?" and had to be reinstalled. amongst other
applications that were "pre loaded" had to reloaded by the HP Application
Recovery tool. Except for PC-Doctor for WindowsXP fails to load, and I don't
know how to reinstall it.
I figured the conflict was between Corel and Illustrator, so I removed
Illustrator, and I ran a System Restore. I decided to go back to a later
date so I undid the restore, and tried to restore to an earlier date and I
get a message "saying system restore made to changes to your computer."
Here's the Questions I have....
Is it a hidden Virus/Worm/Trojan/ect?
Am I having a Software conflict?
Are Windows Files corrupted?
Do I have to reinstall Windows?
Any other help would be much appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Cynthia, unfortunately you could have all those things going on with your
system. It's a good idea to go to the
Corel or Adobe websites and see if there's any conflict problems. I will
give you a few sites to check for trojans, spyware and adware. If you have a
WinXP CD you can do a System File Check. Just go to Start>Run type: sfc
/scannow Have the xp cd in the cdrom drive.

The included url takes me to an error page. Cn you check it and correct it.
Thank you.

Hi Kelly,

I ran the troubleshooter, but unfortunately it didn't make any sence to me.

I'm also stuck because my computer came with windows xp preloaded, and I didn't get a cd for it, atleast i cant find it.

Cynthia
