I posted the message below and so far have had no responses. I take it this has never come up before. Anyone want to give it a shot? Here was the previous post

Although it worked fine for a month (it's a new machine), now when I try to switch between users, absolutely nothing happens. Neither the switch user nor log off buttons work. Ctrl-alt-delete does not work either. Yes, terminal service is enabled. All I can do is a hard restart. Any ideas? I found the knowledge base article addressing a somewhat similar problem for XP media edition, but I am using XP pro

Hello
Have you registered & updated your virus scan?

The thing most people do not know is that after they buy a computer with
virus protection installed they have to go in and register and download the
updates and continue to update it or set it to auto update then after a
period of time the subscription will run out usually in 90-180 days at that
time they will have to purchase new protection either online or from a
retail store and at that time they will be able to update for a period of
365 days (1 year).

Be sure to visit MS Windows Update site and download the updates this is for
your security and safety.

www.windowsupdate.com

Download, Update & Run Ad-Aware

Download and run a free virus scan to double check your current one.
