Hi,

I run Outlook 2003 (with rest of Office 2003Beta) on a machine with Office
2002 also installed on separate directory on same machine. All has been
sweetness and light till last week or so when I did an office Update, which
sent some Updates to my Outlook 2002.

Since then i have had real problems with email. For some reason the first
email account in my Accounts lists, now receives the following error message
whenever I try and send and received:

Task 'Mail - Misnet - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook is
unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to
receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service
provider (ISP).'

Can anyone thow any light on the above - than ks.

Have switched smtp servers, and same smtp serverrs work great on other
machines.

Thanks

Alex

Generally, different versions of Office are not going to work when installed
side-by-side on the same machine. I'd re-install Office 2003, to make sure
that *it's* components are the ones that are registered - applying the
Office 2002 updates probably re-registered some of its components, breaking
Office 2003.s
