SMS Advanced Client Installation

Hello all,

I recently downloaded the SMS Advanced Client from Microsoft website.
While trying to install Q822426_XPE_SP2_X86_ENU.EXE, I get the
following errors.

QFE Installer Error.

A new platform object needs to be installed before this update can be
installed. Please download the latest platform update from
<http://www.microsoft.com/embedded> and install it before attempting
to install this QFE.

Setup cannot continue.

what could be the reason behind this. Please help me.

Ranga,

New XPe updates require new platform installer machanism installed. You need
to install this update first "Repository look-up may cause incorrect files
to be copied (Q811279) for Windows XP Embedded with SP1"
(Q811279_XPE_SP2_X86_ENU.exe from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...E5-8285-4AB2-B753-C624C6B622DD&displaylang=en).
That should fix your problem.
