smooth scrolling

i am using xl2000 and can only scroll cell by cell.
and so when there's a wide cell, the scrolling would move
rapidly.
is there any way to do scrolling smoothly?
 
What are you exactly scrolling- the complete sheet or within a cell. I
within a cell, then use the arrow keys of the keyboard. For scrollin
through the sheet, check the Mouse settings (scroll button if any) o
else use the arrows of the keyboard- but this goes cell by cell
 
i'd like to scroll around excel just like scrolloing
internet browser.
when you scroll internet browser, the scrolling would be
very smooth. the content within the browser would be
moving by the move made by scrolling accordingly.
though with excel, this does not happen.
it scrolls cell by cell and not smooth.
i can't find anywhere where to do the scrolling settings...

If it makes any difference, I see the same behavior. Kinda jerky here. My
guess is it's not an Excel issue, but one of video or mouse drivers.
 
P.S. I see the same jerky scrolling in Word. MS Office has always been
described as very taxing on video, so there's probably nothing that can be
done by us end users.
 
Have you got your scrollbars ticked in options?
