smime.p7m help

whenever I send an encrypted e-mail with an attachment from my XP machine it
arives at my 2000 machine as "smime.p7m". also the XP machine uses outlook
2003 and the 2000 machine uses outlook 2000. I can't seem to figure out why
this is, could some one help?!

The smime.p7m is your digital signature. It should be on any message you
send that is digitally signed.

I don't see any statement in your original post that your original
attachment isn't included. Are you saying that the original attachment is
gone?
