I have a problem with Smartpops software that seems to be
crashing my explorer. The Smartpops web site give
instructions on how to remove it. But they do not work.

I have tried to contact them and all the email bounces.

any ideas. ????

Despite the above link, these days most of us are recommending HijackThis to
identify and assist in the removal of these bad guys. **Post your files to
the Spyware Info forum mentioned in the first URL above, not here.**

(Get a fresh copy of CWS Shredder before each use. It's updated
frequently.)

Update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. Do both
daily from now on.

There is normally a 'NetworkEssentials' or 'MediaLoads
Enhanced' entry in Add/Remove Programs that does a good job
of removing this; you may also like to delete the registry
keys 'Updater' and 'Hopper' or 'MediaLoads Enhanced' in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software after the reset to clean up.

Finally there is a 'Digital Signature' HTML file which
Network Essentials puts in your Windows directory when it
gets installed, which claims you have agreed to some terms
and conditions you will never have seen! You can delete
this nonsense.

hijack, so until it updates, you can just this to
completely remove the hijack. Updated to remove the new
