Smart Tag for auto date

hi, I am using word 2003, and when i tried to use the
auto date function, such as typing the first 4 letter of
the month, "Augu" comes out to be "August", this part
works, but the day doesn't work, when i hit space,
nothing happens, i have to do a backspace and then space
again for the rest of the date to come out.

I turned on auto text function and auto complete
suggestion already, but still not working.

Anyone know why?

have you tried using the Enter (Return) key to insert the text? That is what
seems to be the key function on my PC.
