Smart Client Software Factory: System Requirements

Hello newsgroup

After downloading the SCSF for Visual Studio 2008 from Microsoft
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa480482.aspx) the installer
complained that the requirements are not fulfilled.

Which version of Visual Studio do I need, Standard or Professional, to
try this software (and the Guidance Automation Extensions)?

Btw: are there any other products on the market which might be
interesting for the development of C# based "Smart Client" applications?

On the page rendered by the clicking the link you provided, it tells you
exactly what the System Requirements for SCSF are, in it's own nicely
formatted an titled section.

System Requirements ... the following must be installed:
* Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
* Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
* Guidance Automation Extensions (February 2008 or later)
* SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition

Does "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008" mean "everything except the Express
version"? (That is my question.)
