When I open a link in a new window in explorer the window is always very
small until I click to maximise. If I maximise it then close and reopen the
link it reverts to the small size again. Does anyone know what is causing
this?

Many thanks

Paul

Open the window, use your mouse to stretch it to full screen by hovering
over the top, bottom and sides of the window. After you have the window
full size just click on File and then Close. Do not use the Maximize icon
to make the window full size or the X to close the window this first time.
Now that shortcut will open to the stretched size. This works for OE, IE
and Windows Explorer.

I have tried this but the new windows still open small to give you an idea
of the size only the explorer logo and the min max and close icons are
visible. I have scanned for viruses and for addware/spyware but all are
clean. Any other suggestions would be greatfully received.

I have never seen my process not work but you could try right clicking on
the shortcut you are using and click properties and change the "Run:" window
to Maximize.

All works fine now thanks Norm
