Help!
I have a small office network, all connected to the internet by a router.
Both computers can connect to the internet. I recently performed an
automatic upgrade with XP and since then, neither computer can see each other
or the shared files, or the shared printer. It was working great until the
upgrade.

I have
*restarted the computer browser
*shared all files
*shared the printer
*changed the from the default to NetBios over TCP/IP

What else can I do so that the two computers can see each other and print.
They can still both access the internet.

Any suggestions? Thanks...

If you have a browser conflict, restarting the browser will sometimes help,
frequently not. Start by running "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all", on both
computers, and posting the results here. Instructions are in this article:

I cannot get browstat status to give me anything, it just brings up the c:

OK, we have "ipconfig /all" for both computers. Nothing interesting there.
# Both computers on the same subnet 192.168.1.0/24.
# Both computers have compatible Node Types (Hybrid / Unknown).

When you run browstat as "c:\utilities\browstat status >c:\browstat.txt", it
will give you the c:\ prompt. That's just the first step - follow all steps one
at a time!
<http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/command-window.html>
<http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/using-path-and-making-custom-program.html>
# Type "c:\utilities\browstat status >c:\browstat.txt" (less the "") into a
command window.
# Open Notepad, and make sure that Format - Word Wrap is NOT checked!.
# Open file c:\browstat.txt from Notepad.
# Copy and paste entire contents of the file into your next message.
