I do material lists for a construction company and have a "network" between
my lap in the field/[email protected] won't my addendums on my lap show-up on
my desktop? I've even tried giving both computers the same name. I always get
the
access denied notification and have even had them both running side by side
at home, and it doesn't change. How do I make it so I can type on one and
literally watch it come out on the other?

Networked, if done properly means computer1 can open/read files on
computer2, sae files to it etc. Does not mean they operate insync in real
time.

What you're thinking of is remote desktop, done by VPN or services like
GoToMyPC which I subscribe to. From home, I log onto my PC at the office,
take over the office machine, open files, update data, save it, print it out

Have you create same username on both computers? This troubleshooting may help,

Access issues "computername is not accessible. No permission to access the resources" ... Message: "....is not accessible. You may not have permission to use this network ...
