When I go to burn files onto disk(Using NeroVision 3),,everything is going
good,,,but,.when I try to do something else as the disk is being
burned,.everything I do becomes slow(applications are slow to access),,,,
What causes this,...is it that I need more computer ram,,or is my processor
to slow or is is because of graphics card,...don't know,,..I would like to
upgrade whatever hardware or software that I need to help with this(make
everything run smoothly),,,any suggessions or solutions to my issue would be
appreciated,,,I want to update which ever one that needs it most,,
Once again,.thanks for any help!!!!!!

Hi sleepy:

You've provided precious little information upon which to base an
answer. In general, the process of recording a CD or DVD can be memory
intensive.

As Earl Grey has pointed out burnig CDs and DVDs are resource heavy task. You may also try alternate CD Burning softwares, I have heard some other programs use a lot less memmory than Nero so trying that too is a good thing.

not a good idea to try and do anything while the burn is on process. asking for a bad burn.
the burn should be fairly quick. longest I have had is 12 minutes or so.
in fact I usually use msconfig and turn off anything else during the burn.

Rather than use MSCONFIG, I use a program called Enditall. check on
Google for a site that still hosts the free version.

Everest Home will help you ID your hardware.. It depends on what you have
now in your box and what your upgrade limit is with your existing mobo..?
These are the hardware areas to improve on if possible, #1 CPU (P4, 2.4GB+)
or better, #2 RAM (1GB+) or better, and last but not least, for sure a 16x
burner or better would help speed things up a bit..
Dual core if you want to be doing a lot of other things too, may need a mobo
upgrade for that, though..
A fast burner without cpu & ram to back it up could cause errors at a higher
burn speed, you would then need to slow down the burn speed to around 4x or
slower, may very..

Cheers

If you want to upgrade your hard disk to get more powerful experince, I will
first suggest you to increase the amount of RAM and a CPU upgradation will
be very helpful.

As you are using Nero Vision 3, which is great bloatware, as I suggested
first try to get some other software such as CD Burner XP to work for your
needs

All of these are good ideas, but not necessary. The reason
the application usage/access is slow is that the hard disk
drive is already being tasked to transfer the file(s) to
CD/DVD and as such tasking another hdd i/o at the same time
should not be done. If you really need to do these, all you
can do is wait while the program loads and/or saves any
files it needs to. That sould not take longer than 1.5
minutes tops.

In 2 Timothy 3:1-7, there is a list of the qualities that
Unregenerate man will have in the last days. Is your quality
found there? If So, don't despair - Christ came to save His
