Might have the fix! After running MS Update, machine bogged down (both startup and performance. Spent 4 days trying to fix. Noticed on one site, Symantec recommended a fix. Didn't work but it got me thinking. I have both Systemsworks and AntiVirus installed. Reasoned that they wouldn't recommend something if they didn't feel some responsiblity. I reinstalled windows - no help! Then I removed Norton AntiVirus and the machine went back to normal. Reinstalled Norton and it remained good. I think Norton has to be installed ON TOP of windows instead of the other way around. Hope this helps someone. Please post results!

What System Works components do you normally have running in the background?
