Slow very slow

Whenever I click on My computer or anything for that matter it takes forever
to load.
I have disk cleaned, defragged, scanned for viruses and spyware.
What can I do to fix this?

HEY SLOW IS BAD. DO YOU HAVE ALOT OF ICONS IN BOTTOM

RIGHT OF YOU SCREEN? IF SO YOU NEED TO TURN OFF SOME
THINGS ON YOUR STARTUP MENU . THEY ARE SLOWING YOU DOWN,
TURN ON ONLY WHAT YOU NEED AT THE TIME.
 
I have almost everything turned off the start up. What is slow is my links,
the Quick Launch Links and when you click my Computer, Network Places ect.
Any solutions?
