I am using fade to black with the slow setting in a slide show presentation
using PowerPoint 2000. However, I would like to slow the transition down
even further. Does anyone have any suggestions?

TIA
Greg

That's all that PowerPoint 2000 offers - - slow, medium, fast. Fade through
Black is the one transition that can cause problems. If it works okay on your
system, then don't worry. However, if you plan to distribute the presentation,
I would recommend choosing a different transition effect. Here is what
Microsoft has to say:

For a list of transitions that show the fewest performance problems, see:

It depends. If you slides are simply text or simple graphics, you
couls go back to PPT3 to get a true difference in speeds in the fade
through black transition. However, you are still at the mercy of the
system as to how slow the fades are.

To get control of the fade speed, you have to upgrade to PPTXP or
2003, and use the entrance and exit fades under custom animation.
