slow to open

last month or so its taking a long time to open things, like outlook express
and certain programs . And at startup it take min or so to load and open and
it didnt befor. I have a good virus protection and spyware. I have xp home
edition. Computers not quite 2 yrs old. Any help is much apprecitaed. janet

If you are certain the computer is free of viruses and other malware, then
do some clean boot troubleshooting.
