Today my PC suddenly produced black borders around the desktop icons and a marked slowing down on boot-up. The boot up hangs a minute on the welcome screen then goes to the desktop with no icons. The icons appear a minute or so later with the welcome jingle. Has anyone else had this problem - I've got Norton Antivuirus 2003 and Firewall 2003 but never had problems before. No viruses on PC. Why should this happen out of the blue and how do I get back to normal

Any advice much appreciated

slounds as though, you picked up a gift from your
travels, in the form of a trojan horse, get an online
trojan scan, when you find it, turn off system restore
first then delete. then reboot.
