slow slow slow........winxp

haveing a new compaq computer running winxp it is
ridiculously slow.......I finally upgraded to a new
computer from a pent 133......the old computer is much
much faster in all opeartions.......what the heck is
wrong? Please don't say what the sales tech has told...
well gee some old systems are faster thats all!.....

Also, many International brands use the SLOWEST hard drives available
ANYWHERE TO compete on price as the average Joe just buys on price
points so you cant blame them.

You may have a 5,400 or less drive for example.

Please help us to help you. Nobody can do anything more than
guess unless you give us lots more information. Start with the
specs of your new machine.
