I am experiencing a very slow shutdown and I am not able to install or
update to the newest version of AVG. This started when I installed SP2 which
is probably just coincidental. It takes over three minutes to shutdown
although I have no problem on start up. I have no problems navigating but
the Windows screens freeze, overlap or only partially display while trying
to update AVG. I uninstalled the program and tried re-installing as well as
the update. It takes forever but seems to complete installation. At least I
get a message that it's done but when I re-boot, I keep getting a pop up
telling me I need to update AVG. However, the program will not allow
updates. I get a very delayed message saying the update was unsuccessful.
The slow shutdown and inability to update or install this one program seem
to be connected. I've run Adaware, Spybot, CWShredder, disk cleanup, deleted
temp files and ran Microsoft User Profile Hive Cleanup Service. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

You should not post hijack this logs here. There are other forums for that:

For the slow shutdown you can try running the Microsoft User Profile
Hive Cleanup Service, Uphclean. See this knowledge base article for
more info and for a link to download it:

You could also try some clean boot troubleshooting to see what might be

For the AVG issue I would suggest contacting their tech support.
