Slow performance on save

I'm getting incredibly slow performance (10+ minutes!!) when I save a
particular form object in MS Access 2002. I've been developing this project
for over one year and this just started last night.

Of course, I can't recall any specific changes I made that I can un-do.
Even so, I can't imagine a change to a form that would cause this.

* I did a compact/repair - no help.
* I started with a blank mdb and imported all my stuff into there - no help.

Any suggestions?

Did you digitally sign it? I ran into a problem once with the digital
signature and the save times, especially on the network. I went so far
as to confirm it with Microsoft and open a bug report with them.

It has to do with the certificate root trying to be contacted, etc. I
actually caught onto the problem because my firewall was logging it.

If you have a digital signature, try removing it and then saving and see
if your performance is increased.

Wow!! I need to send you a gift basket, or something.

Some saves were normally 10+ seconds and it bothered me - but not enough to
worry about it. Now all my saves are like lightning! Your help added 20+
minutes of productivity to my day.

I wonder why that one form decided to break the it-takes-minutes-to-save
barrier.
