I wanted to know what could I do with my OutLook 2002
(10.2627.2625).
It is operating very slow. Every time I try to open a
messsage takes for ever.I have to click again and a
message shows in the status window saying "Outlook not
responding". and then it opens.
Thanks,
rick

Try disabling the integration with Instant Messenger in Tools | Options |
Other and see if that speeds things up.

If you are having email delivered to a personal folder I would check to
those as well. If they are over 800mb is when I start seeing various issue
or corrupted this can cause this sort of issue. You can run the scanpst.exe
to check the personal folders.

If you are connecting to an Exchange Server - this could be a network
connectivity issue or your connection is timing out.

I would also check to make sure that you SP3 installed and run detect and
repair on it.

Finally, in some cases spyware can cause an issue like this. I would
install and run ad-aware or another anti-spyware program.

Hi
Found this elsewhere:

Re-register these ocx & dlls.

regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Triedit\dhtmled.ocx"

regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Triedit\triedit.dll"

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Triedit\dhtmled.ocx"

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Triedit\triedit.dll"

I had a similar problem where the preview pane seemed to be hanging for
minutes at a time.
