For some reason, all of a sudden I am noticing that it takes a good 4-5
minutes after boot up for windows to search for a network connection
(wireless or physical connection)...
I don't recall when this started happening, but I did install SP2 sometime
in the last 3-4 weeks, and I don't reboot my computer much (just leave it on
and hibernate when not in use). But yesterday I had to reboot, and upon
rebooting, I immediately clicked on IE and it wouldn't open at all, so I went
to Network Connections, which wouldn't open (froze) for those 3-4 minutes and
then after 4 minutes, all that stuff was "recognized" by Windows and opened
up.
I am positive that before SP2, Windows would activate my Network connections
almost immediately upon bootup (i.e., it was one of the first things it did
upon starting up), but now it's not only the last thing, but it's well beyond
the last thing.
Anybody else experiencing this problem??
