Slow internet access on startup

It takes Windows Vista 5 minutes for the firewall to figure out to let you
get on the internet when you first turn your computer on. Vista has some
serious problems. They need to come up with alot of updates fast. Microsoft
expects people to leave their computer turned on and burn up their electric
bill or put it on standby and I want it turned off while and I'm in bed at
night until I get home from work. Why can't they make an operating system
that works right?

Are you sure it's the Vista firewall? Does the computer connect faster if
you disable the firewall then reboot? Have you checked the manufacturer
website for Vista compatible LAN drivers?

Utter Crap! I have vista Home Premium running PERFECTLY on a 5yo computer!

In stead of just WHINGING, put down the CORRECT problems, and somebody MIGHT
help a fool like you!

The firewall starts off on restricted access and remains on that for around
5 minutes while you sit and wait till it switches to automatic and gives you
access to the internet. Something is taking forever to load up after the
computer has been shut off for while. It doersn't do it everyday but it's
happened twice this week. It's problems like this that make you think. Why
would they release an operating system that would do that? I know security
is top priority to Microsoft but they've made it so secure that it's causing
problems.

correct problems? ok, i made that problem up, umm that's not a correct
problem. you don't belong on this newsgroup if you want to arttack people.
