I have PC PIV 2.8MHZ, Bus 800, 40GB 7200 RPM, 256 DDR Ram, But the copying
is very slowly when I copy files or Movies from partition to Partition or
from Disk to Disk

Regards,
Ahmed Hassan

That is because the data is actually moving as oppose to when you move
it around on the same drive/partition it just changes the information on
the location of the data instead of actually moving the data.

I face the same problem when copying the data from hard disk to another
extended hard disk

NOTE : THE SAME DATA COPIED FASTER AT ANOTHER PC (PIII).!!!

Please need more explain,

Thanks

OK, so you are saying you have drives. In the PIII, the data copied from
one drive to another faster than it does in your new computer? There
are a couple of possibilities. First off, the CPU doesn't have much to
do with this as it is data being transfered along the IDE Controllers.
It is possible the drives in the old computer were faster RPM or a
larger cache on one drive than another. The controller may not be as
fast as the old one (but unlikely). This is mostly going to be the
differences between the motherboard and harddrives.

FIRST OF ALL THANKS FOR QUICK RESPONCE AND ATTENSION

Your are right , but the

1- copying and moving data from Hard Disk to hard Disk is Slowly in PC (PIV
2.8 MHZ, Bus 800, Cash Memory 512KB, 256 DDR Bus 400 , Mother Board MSI
865PE Neo2, Hard Disk Seagate Barracuda 40GB , 7200 RPM)

2- Copying and moving data from Hard Disk to hard Disk is Faster in PC (PIII
1.2 MHZ, Bus 100, Cash Memory 256KB, 256 SD Ram Bus 100 , Mother Board
Gigabyte 815, Hard Disk Western Digital 40GB , 7200 RPM)
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please explain

Thanks again for replying for my long and repeated asking

Assuming these are the same two drives perhaps you need either updated
drivers, set the configuration the same as it used to be (RAID, BIOS
options, etc.)

Try these drivers:
ftp://aiedownload.intel.com/df-support/7484/eng/infinst_enu.exe

Also, try updating your BIOS if there is one available.
