slow copying from the internet

I’m having trouble copying information from the internet into a MS Word 2007
document. I can do it but it gives me an “accessing the server†message and
then takes about three minutes. Last week the time lag was not there. When
I copy into non-MS office applications it takes seconds. How can I get my
speed back?
 
Does this happen when pasting from any web page into Word, or only with
certain (complex) pages?

Also, does it make a difference if you paste smaller amounts of data?
