Hi

I'am having some trouble with my e-machines computer. It is running so slow and it freezes all the time. Sometimes it tells me that the system is not responding and I have to shut down. I recently put in an internet modem through yahoo, could this be causing the problem? Is so, what can I do to fix it. I'm tired of waiting for the computer everytime I click on something. Please help!!!!

I'm not what you'd call an "expert", but this sounds like a RAM problem. how old is your e-machine? do you know how much RAM it has? consider adding RAM. even if this is not the underlying problem, it should speed up processing time anyway. good luc

If sys has started to slow down http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/slowcom.htm
It can also be caused by to many apps loading on startup.
The freezing is symtamatic of an underlying problem if it occurs no matter
what apps yr using you could try a winxp repair, but this may depend on what
disks yr supplier supplied. It may be that you only have a recovery disk, in
which case ensure you have any data backed up.

Hold CTRL andALT ,then hit delete key, look at your running processes
list and check if there is anything dubious looking in there. The file
names can be a bit obscure so open up a google window and search for
those you are unsure about.
