Slow boot in XP SP2

I upgraded to SP2 and now the pc wait about 30 secs in the Welcome screen,
while before SP2 it never showed it. It's getting slower and also the
Explorer hangs ups recurrently.
Any help?
(of course is WinXP Pro English)

bro check your PF usage during your next session online,
cos since i installed sp2 my ram has been zapped and my
PF is in da gigz, !!!!!!!!!
