The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during
its internal processing. HRESULT was 800706BA from line
44 of d:\nt\com\com1x\src\events\tier1
\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact Microsoft Product
Support Services to report this error.

I got tired of the COM+ event error messages so I finally,
(against better judgment) enabled all COM+ services to
automatic and made sure they were started( they depend on
RPC which also should be enabled)... They don't take up a
whole lotta CPU , what they do exactly I don't know but i
don't get the error messages no more and my firewall keeps
tabs on what goes in and what goes out so I'm not too
worried... the only two processes that need above normal
priority are csrss.exe and winlogon.exe.

Advice given here is mandatory. If you don't like it do
something else. If your looking for advertisements don't
look here. Do I trust Microsoft? Not on your Mother's
grave. Do I trust Myself? Not on your Mother's grave.

Having COM+ on or off is discussed at
