slooooow startups on windows and programs

hi all,
i ran a ms program and it said my casch is off, i have a zv6000,amd64-3200,i
gig ram. how do i turn on the casch?

Which program ? - it's actually spelled cache. There are all manner
of caches within XP (IE Cache or Temporary Internet Files), disk
drive caching....
