I have a cable isp, and my DL's used to be BAM ! done. Now I have speeds of
25kbs to 35kbs. It really does'nt matter where i go for the DL it is still
slow. I keep up to date with my maint for the puter but i am at a loss
literally. And it does'nt matter what time i DL anything, it's just the same.
And i got my temp folder set to 5mb. and i use the %temp% to clear all my
crap out, for disk space. HELP ! I feel like i am back on DIAL-UP. But on
another note when i do online games, No LAG. Thanks for any ideas you may
have. WAGS. (e-mail address removed)

Well at least we have our priorities right, with the online games. =O)

I'd suggest checking with your ISP?? let them confirm that there is
absolutly no problem with your account settings etc there end. last thing
you wanna do is spend hours on end trying to fix the problem only to find it
was never your problem.

By the sounds of things you have a pretty shmick PC as far as running the
regular maintence procedures go. Viruses, Spyare etc...... I would be
interested know if this problem has only started after recently installing a
new AV program firewall etc?

Probably not your problem but.... I had a very similar problem with my DSL
connection.
Turned out to be a bad port on my Linksys router had gone bad. In fact port
1 was slow and
port 2 no longer would link up; but ports 3 and 4 still worked just fine. So
"if" you are running a router
off the cable then to your PC you might want to verify the router.
