Slipstream troubles

I tried a slipstream cd creation, but it failed to properly burn a file
called bulzaro.jp_ (or something like that). It gives an error message in
installation, but it lets me skip it. Is this going to cause problems later
on? Also, when I installed it onto a computer, a shortcut to Movie Maker
appeared in the main portion of the start menu, I don't recall this being
there on my plain network install. Is it normally there and I just moved it
without noticing?

I didn't have any troubles creating a slipstream myself. But, you
might give a program called autostream a try, which makes building
slipstream CD's easier.

Doesn't matter, the slipstream worked, just the burn process that made an
error. I re-burned the same slipstream at a lower speed, and it worked fine.

On a side note, is it possible to slipstream into the CD, drivers for my SATA
setup so I do not need to hit F6 right at the start to install the
floppy-based drivers? I am going to guess you need to do more than just stick
the drivers onto the CD, as in they need to go in the right directory or
something...

I've heard that is possible, but I don't know how. The autostream
program I referenced does not have that feature, but I think there is
another similar program that does. Not sure.

There might a way using an unattended install process.
You would have to create the following directory
structure:

i386\$OEM$\$1\PnPDrivers

You would place your drivers in there. Once windows has
started detecting devices it will look on your (newly)
burned CD in that directory. You will have to create an
answer file to tell windows where to look.

This is only if the drivers are needed during hardware
detection. If they are needed in the DOS (blue screen)
area of the setup, then I don't think this will work.

Problem is, I need the drivers to detect the hard drive to install onto -
Windows will not get that far through. Thanks for the input as it may solve
an unrelated issue (sound card drivers).
