I have a slightly similar problem to one already listed,
however I cannot view the answer so I was hoping to get
an answer again. I have previously asked this question
with no success, but I'll try again:
Everytime I reboot my computer the browser size has reset
itelf so that it is about the size of the maximized
window. So I have to manually resize the window every
time I use the computer. This a little annoying and I
would like to make it so the computer remembers that I
want the browser to be a different size when I restore
down. Thanks for your help.

Open a page with some links on it. Make that page the (non-maximized) size
you want. Open a link from that page in a new window. Make that window the
size you want. Close the first window then close the second window.

No, I am fully aware of this technique, however
regardless of how many windows I open and reset, it
always returns to the large restored down window after I
reboot. No matter what happens, its simply not
remembering the new size after I reboot the computer. Is
it a problem with the cache mem or something? I really
haven't a clue.
