Slideshow transition time?

I'm running XP Home Edition. When viewing an XP slideshow (using "View as
slide show" from "Picture Tasks" in the "My Pictures" folder) is there
anyway to change the transition time between the slides?

I asked the same question here some time ago. It can be done but not
easily. Much better idea, get IrfanView. It's free and the slideshow is
fully customisable. Make sure you get all the plugins as well.
