I have a large mass of photos that I want to run as a slide show and I want
their file names displayed as they run....How do I do this? The whole
process...this is my first foray into PowerPoint....not as overwhelming as
Adobe Photoshop and I conquered that so I feel confident I could do it
here...Thanks for the help

that imports all the pictures on to one slide and still doesn't include the
file names...Any other ideas or reference places?

I think the Image Importer Wizard, referenced on that page
(http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00050.htm), does what you want. I
didn't see a reference to putting image names on the slides in the
feature list, but you can try the demo version to see if it does that.

Did you actually try Photo Album? It has settings for number of images per
slide and whether you want the file name in the caption.

I did try the photo album and was excited because I did get it to work but
when I run it the pictures stop after about the 23rd slide....I have 382
pictures to run.

What do you mean? It stops inserting pictures? I don't know of any limit and
haven't heard of this from others, so maybe there is something else going on.
Do you get a message of any type? What exactly happens. Is there something
different with the 24 image? Can you open a new blank presentation and try
inserting 24 images? If that works press Ctrl + Z to undo it and then try about
50 images.

the slide show runs but there is just a frame and the file name and the
background...no picture....

Is there anything different about the slides after the 23rd? Are they all the
same file format - - JPG or PNG, etc.? Can you try it again and this time only
select slides 24-382? What happens if you do that?
