I would like to project a slide show using the built in slide show function
built into the Photos folder. The slides change a little too fast, and I was
wondering if anyone knew any way to slow down the speed of the slide show.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Download Tweakui from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Run it and look under the Explorer section for Slide Show. There will
be a setting to change the display time.

Download and install Tweak UI for your XP SP level
Start Tweak UI, and click the (+) sign near Explorer
Click the sub-tree named Slide show
In the right-pane, alter the timeout value accordingly.

TweakUI v2.00 for Windows XP/XP MCE [564 KB].
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

TweakUI v2.10 for Windows XP SP1/XP MCE/2003 [147 KB].

-or-

Using a direct registry edit

Type regedit.exe in Start, Run dialog. Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \
Explorer \ ShellImageView
Create a new REG_DWORD named Timeout (skip this if the value already
exists)
Double-click Timeout and select the Decimal base
Type the value (milliseconds).
For example 3000 implies 3 seconds timeout, and so forth.
Close Registry Editor
