I just loaded 2003 onto a new laptop. For some reason the slide show
doesn't work. When I try and go to view slide show ro F5 nothing happens.
In the area on the bottom of the computer screen it looks like I have an
additional ppt file open, but it just for the slide show for the
presentation I am trying to run.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

sara

I would go and install the latest Service Patch and see what happens then

Chances are that the show is being displayed on the external monitor that is
not hooked up.

Try either 1) hooking up a monitor or projector to the vga output on the
back of the laptop or 2) (after you have shut down PowerPoint) clicking on
Start => Control Panel => Display => Settings => then right click on the #2
display and click on the attached option to de-select it.
