ok....I've added a 2nd hard drive to my tower - I'm running xp pro -
everything seems to be working correctly - I've even tried it out and copied
some files from c to h (new hard drive) ... it still says NEW VOLUME (H) -
how do I change the name from new volume to something else? and also.. do I
need to put windows on that drive? i'd like to keep my exe programs on c and
then move everything over to H - and then make sure that when I open
something up in one of my programs it goes to H instead of C - is that just
a matter of moving the files to H - deleting them from C - and then just
opening/saving to H??

thanks for any help

open up a copy of my computer,
select that drive, right click, open up properties.
change the drive name there.
No, You don't have to put windows on that drive.
Since most programs try to save to the
"My Documents" folder, you might find out how to move that
folder to that drive and have windows recognize that it lives there.
