Skype History Question?

Anyone knows where history is stored in the local computer and how to
retrieve it?

I am using the latest version and there is no history in the folder
mentioned in the forums:

-> C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application
Data\Skype\username\IMHistory\contactsname.html


I have history enabled of course and can view it from the skype application
but I want to find the files themselves..

Try C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application
Data\Skype\username\callmember256.dbb or call256.dbb and there are some
chat*.dbb files also.

can these be read by another application?

I use an old MS-DOS program which will open anything. The Chat512.dbb
looks like it has the text from my IM. The callmember256 and call256
have fixed 264 byte records but are in some database format with I
believe binary fields.

whats the name of the old dos app?
