sky by broadband

i use to be able to use sky by broad band, to watch clips etc, now it states
unexpected error, i rang sky , they sais the register values need putting
right , how do i do that ?

What?

So you have an internet service.
You use that internet service to... surf the internet.
Some of that surfing includes watching streaming video and listening to
streaming audio clips.
Now you get "some error" (that you have conveniently left out) while trying
to watch "some clip" (whose type and media player used was left out as well)
and you called your internet service provider and they supposedly told you
that you needed to edit the registry?

All sounds a little "out there" to me.

Can you be a bit more detailed with what you are attempting to do, what
error you get when you attempt it and what exactly you were told to do?
 
i'd have to agree.. SKY although they've bought an ISP their call centers
have no idea what to do when your problem doesn't fit their fix it sheet, we
may be able to help with more details but the bottom line is i think SKY
should have the people to resolve the problem you're having..

hi

yep thats right , it states exactly what i said, sky by broadband did allow
me to watch, films , football highlights , thats all you can use it for etc ,
it runs on windows player ten. my internet provider is bt ,

thanks for the last information , rang them back 2 nite , got an diffrent
operator , who stated updates are being carried out this week , thats why
there no sky by broadband ? , hope he is right , cheers lads
